SUMMARY:
Referring to the field of urban regeneration and technology linked to well-being, the CIVIC SPORT project aims at promoting the "sport mainstreaming" in the urban development planning process, making sure that the theme of sport is present in all aspects of urban regeneration policies, strategies and interventions, in order to ensure that the latter go in the direction of improving the quality of life, well-being and sustainability.
OBJECTIVES:
Promote an intervention model based on the mainstreaming of sport in urban development and regeneration processes, functional to making sport a tool to support the achievement of social and well-being objectives within these processes.
PROJECT ACTIONS:
- Development of networks with the main stakeholders of planning processes and urban development interventions
- Establishment of tables for urban sports transition
- Development of a digital platform that collects information on the on-going urban sports transition process.
- Development and sharing of model guidelines
- Implementation of Pilot Actions to spread awareness of the interconnection between the civic, social, environmental, economic dimensions and the sporting dimension in urban regeneration processes. These initiatives are characterized by the "CIVIC SPORT VOUCHER" tool, a coupon that citizens "earn" by taking part in the civic participation initiatives proposed in the SCHOOLS and NEIGHBOURHOODS of the cities involved in the project. Each Voucher corresponds to 1 hour of free sporting activity in affiliated facilities
